Es kommt nur selten vor, dass mich die Werbung in unserem Treppenhaus nachhaltig beeindruckt. Heute war so ein Tag.
Frankie’s Funeral
If you are into Lindy Hop dancing, you will have heard that Frankie Manning died at the age of 94. The funeral has been quite a swinging event, with a full big band playing and lots of smiling people dancing around the open casket. You have to see it to believe it – check out the video.
Here is one of the last articles Frankie wrote, “Dancers and Musicians – A Mutually Beneficial Relationship“. And listen to his own voice telling the story about “Frankie Manning and the Bucket Boys”
Finally one interesting post that discusses how the dance was presented and that there might be concessions to a racist stereotype about black dancers being wild, raw, animalistic.

Bei der Lektüre des Windows-Event-Logs stiess ich auf das folgende schöne Wort:
Herunterfahrungstyp: restart
Ich finde, “Herunterfahrungstyp” könnte man sich auch auf ein T-Shirt drucken. Da muss ich dann wiederum an Katz & Goldt denken, die mal einen Cartoon darüber hatten, dass man “nicht alles sofort auf ein T-Shirt drucken muss”…
