In Berlin gibt es eine große Zwanziger/Dreißiger-Jahre Szene, auch viele Nicht-Tänzer, und so gibt es regelmäßig sehr große Veranstaltungen im Ballsaal des Admiralspalast, bei denen tausende an Gästen sich entsprechend kleiden und zu Swing (und Rockabilly) feiern, mit Burlesque, Glückspiel und Speak-Easy. Und nun auch in Hamburg, am 2. Januar, im Übel & Gefährlich, als formidablen und unterstützenswerten Versuch!

Die Partyreihe aus dem Berliner Admiralspalast, erstmals in Hamburg. Drei stilvolle, aus der Zeit gefallene Musikgruppen geleiten die Gäste in die Nacht. Die White Ghost Shivers aus Austin, Texas spielen wilden Charleston, Early Jazz und Vaudeville. Die Cry Babies aus Berlin sorgen mit unzüchtigem Hill- und Rockabilly für verrutschte Kleidungsstücke. Und die Ballroom Buskers aus Hamburg verwöhnen mit klassischem Swingsound der Dreißigerjahre. Hinterher animieren die DJs Swingin’ Swanee und Lobotomy zu Paar- und Wirbeltanz. Und zwischendrin und immer wieder: Burlesque Performances von Leolilly & Golden Treasure. Hier wird getanzt, gebalzt, gelacht und mit staunenden Augen in eine Welt geblickt, die es längst nicht mehr gibt, die hier aber für eine süße Nacht zum Leben erwacht.
Die Gäste werden um angemessen festliche Kleidung gebeten.
